The Modern Treatment for Cellulite Problem

Posted on August 1, 2012 under Cellulite Treatment | Be the First to Comment

About forty years ago, nobody knows what cellulite is. It was not a big deal days back then. Today, even a girl in her teenage years is conscious that cellulite may appear on her skin. It is a modern skin disorder dreaded by most women in these modern times.

The problem with cellulite has provoked a lot of scientific research. These researches are in relation to the causes of the skin disorder, the persons affecting it, and of course, the treatment that is badly needed.

One Cause of Cellulite

There have been many theories as to what causes cellulite. It is only logical to think that with the theories related to what causes cellulite would be brought treatments to it. One claim on how this skin disorder is brought about is the pulling of the skin downwards by some vertical bands called septae. These vertical bonds are only present in women because men have them in a diagonal fashion. Hence, when people grow older, the septae pulls the skin downwards making some bulges on the surface (on women only and not men).

They say when you treat a problem, you treat it at the root so it will not grow back. Hence, a new treatment has been developed. This treatment is anchored in the claim that cellulite is cause by the pull factor of the septae as a person grows. The name of the treatment is Cellulaze.

The Cellulaze Treatment

Cellulaze is a laser treatment which means that it would fall under the surgical category as opposed to topical and non-surgical methods. The process may be a little messy because there will be some need of injections of anaesthetics. The anaesthetics will be local which would mean that you will stay awake throughout the procedures.

Once injected, the laser will work by going to the septae and melting the fats underneath the skin. The skin will then be heated from inside going out as to help the growth of elastin and collagen. The septae which were vertical will now be turned a few degrees to counteract the downward force. Once they have been changed in direction, the problem will not occur anymore.

After the surgery, you will be required to wear compression garments which are similar to a very tight wetsuit. You will be wearing this for a few weeks until the skin is back to its firmness again. What is good with this treatment is that you will be able to go back to work right soon. Maybe you we will need a day or two of rest, after which, you can go back to normal life.

Of course, the benefits of Cellulaze would also bring some risks. There may be some bruises and soreness and a very small chance of scars. All these risks however are very minimal and the benefits will supersede them.

Many have been amazed of the effects of Cellulaze. There may be other treatments that are not that evasive but mind you, this is cellulite and once this skin disorder is there, it will be very hard to take them away.

Weighing Facets: The Truth about HGH

Posted on July 18, 2012 under HGH | Be the First to Comment

Human Growth Hormone or popularly abbreviated as HGH is renowned for its claimed anti-aging and weight loss abilities. Many hold truth to the efficiency of these hormones. However, some are just as dubious as others seem to be pretty much convinced about it.

Principally, HGH is an essential, naturally-occurring hormone released by the pituitary gland to support cellular and tissue reproduction, growth and regeneration. It is most abundant during the childhood and teenage years of an individual where organs are developing and the point of maturity isn’t reached yet.

HGH is also responsible for other important processes in the body such as immunity, metabolism, muscle toning and maintaining skin elasticity and suppleness.

Why are people buying HGH-based products?

As individual ages, he or she loses the ability to maintain the normal processes in the body which keeps the skin integrity intact, as such, wrinkles and fine line appear. HGH is directly associated to increase in protein synthesis and uptake, as well as in cell and tissue growth and regeneration. These processes result to maintenance of skin integrity – keeping it younger in looks and texture. Muscle building is dependent on good protein synthesis and cellular growth.

Weight loss with HGH is associated with the natural ability of the hormone to increase fat breakdown. Additionally, an increased amount of HGH in the body results to a higher degree of mental alertness and activeness.

Are they really made up of hormones?

This is where the most common set of confusion comes from. HGH supplements are not made up of hormones, per se. These supplements are, instead, made up of amino acids such as histidine, lysine and glutamine which stimulate the body to produce large amounts of circulating HGH.

What are the types of HGH Supplements?

HGH in the market can be purchased as injection, sprays and pills.

  • Injections. These products were manufactured based on the principle that medications infused by means of injection are absorbed better and quicker.

HGH can be administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly, done twice a day.

Injections always need a prescription and can cost you about $100-$2500 monthly, if taken regularly.

  • Oral Sprays. These are widely sought for a painless and more convenient way of HGH administration. They might not be as helpful, though, as they are promoted.

HGH is an entirely big molecule and it wouldn’t just fit into the membranes of the mouth, stomach or intestine.

  • Pills. HGH releasers in the form of pills are organic, and taken as daily supplements. It is advised that it is taken before going to bed as the pituitary gland is most active during hours of sleep.

What now?

Extensive research is continuously occurring to prove the therapeutic claims of external sources of HGH stimulation be it as anti-aging, weight loss or muscle building. Until proofs are out, better be cautious.

Anti-Aging Tips for Men

Posted on July 14, 2012 under Anti Aging | Be the First to Comment

Although aging and looking old generally comes with the territory of being a woman, a considerable fraction of the male population also feel the same anxiety that women does whenever the subject of premature aging comes to light. In fact, the male population’s concern to stay youthful and fresh is so strong that beauty companies now have anti-aging solutions specifically intended for men.

The only problem with anti-aging creams for men is the price. Just like the creams and lotions for women, health and beauty products for men can get a little expensive. So what do you do to slow down the aging process without spending a lot? You look for natural and practical alternatives.

Healthy Diet and Exercise

One effective way to stay healthy and young is to maintain a balanced diet and to engage in regular exercise. These two are perhaps the simplest yet the most effective way to slow down male aging – a healthy diet gives your body, especially your skin, all the nutrients it needs to stay hydrated and moisturized while regular exercise burns the excess fat in your body.

If you want to keep your youthful charm, be sure to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Cut down the fat and the sugar. Fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants that promote cell regeneration, which in turn keeps the skin supple and fresh.

Hydrate and Moisturize

Something as simple as drinking plenty of water can go a long way in making sure you maintain a youthful look. Dehydration leads to a dry skin, making it vulnerable to allergies and skin conditions. Doctors suggest 8 glasses of water a day, but if you can drink more than that the better it will be for your skin.

Moisturizing is also another important thing to do if you want to stay youthful. Especially when you work outdoors or when you go out with friends on weekends, be sure to moisturize your face as often as necessary. Look for products that are made for moisturizing the male face because regular moisturizers may not give you the nutrients that you need.

Wash Your Face

Some men grow really tired during the day that by night time all they can think of is dumping themselves in bed. As tempting as it may be, you should fight the laziness and clean yourself up before hitting the sack.

Make it a point to always wash your face – cleanse, tone, and moisturize – every night. Clogged pores make the perfect breeding ground for bacteria, and you wouldn’t want that on your face. When you keep a facial cleansing routine every night, your face will remain young-looking regardless of your age.

Always keep in mind that skin aging is not an exclusive phenomenon happening to women only. Even men can suffer from premature aging if they fail to take good care of their skin and face. If you do not want to look twenty years older than your age, follow the basic rules of hygiene and the usual practices needed for a healthy lifestyle.

The Different Options for Cellulite Treatment

Posted on December 11, 2010 under Cellulite Treatment | Be the First to Comment

Unless you are in a civilization with customs and traditions which are not the usual generally accepted norms, the surface of the skin is supposed to be smooth and free from any kinds of texture. These unwanted textures would include pimples, acne, rashes, and of course, cellulite.

Cellulite is often referred to as orange peel because it imitates the skin of an orange where dimples are scattered everywhere. The usual area where it can be seen is the thigh making it visible is one will wear short shorts or swimsuits. Once orange peel appears on the skin, it will be hard to take it off. In fact, there is really no known treatment for cellulite that can make it disappear one hundred per cent.

Different Options for Cellulite Treatment

Even though there is no such thing as a perfect cellulite treatment, there are still diverse treatments available. The most common is the cream intended for this kind of skin problem.

Creams

Cellulite creams are specifically designed and developed skin ointment that is composed of natural ingredients to fight off the effects of cellulite. One of the popular ingredients used in these creams is the cocoa butter. Almost any cellulite cream contains this ingredient because of its natural property to smoothen the skin by retention of moisture. Without moisture, the skin will look dull, dry and generally ugly. It will also not hold the skin firm causing cellulite to worsen.

Massage

Another treatment for cellulite is through a massaging device. This works by manipulating the muscles of the body which will in turn manipulate the fats underneath the skin. The thing that happens here is when you massage the muscles, the fats will be “moved” and cellulite may get even. This will create an illusion of a more even skin but again, it is not perfect. A closer check-up will still reveal traces of dimples on the skin. One more thing about massage is its temporary effect. This means that this treatment must go on and on so or must be done in a regular basis.

Lasers

Laser is another option for cellulite treatment. Cellulaze is one among them. This laser treatment involves the angling of the septae which is thought to be one of the causes of cellulite formation because this is the one responsible in pulling the skin downwards. Hence, angling the septae to a different degree will help minimize or eliminate the pull. This treatment is very effective but it can be costly and invasive.

Surgery

Lastly, surgery in general is another way to get rid of embarrassing cellulite. The most common of all is the Liposuction where fats are sucked by pump. This is similar to Cellulaze on the grounds that it is invasive in nature.

Getting cellulite is not the end of the world. Sometimes, one can say that it is a naturally occurring phenomenon to the skin which becomes evident as a person grows older. Statistics even show that ninety per cent of the total populations of women are suffering from it. Good thing there are different treatments available.

HGH in Black and White

Posted on September 13, 2010 under HGH | Be the First to Comment

HGH or human growth hormone is an essential hormone associated with various types of bodily processes and functions. It is synthesized and secreted by the anterior pituitary gland and is responsible for the growth and development of the body. The production of HGH in the body occurs at varying periods; however, its peak lies during puberty.

The advancement in technology and research paved way to the production of synthetic HGH. This common fixture in the society is gaining too much popularity that some consumers think only of what they see and not of what they know.

Doctors Call it Prescribed

Originally, the studies related to the human growth hormone were materialized to provide solutions to many congenital disorders and diseases associated with poor pituitary functioning, growth retardation and the like. It was until the 1990′s when HGH was found to be beneficial for people trying to cut loose of their fat storage. Anti-aging associated with HGH is just recently found as studies revealed. However, current researches are still pursued.

HGH is not an illegal substance, per se. However, it is a prescribed medication and can only be obtained by physician’s prescription. Possession and use of the hormone when otherwise noted is illegal.

The Pros

Usage of HGH is associated with various benefits, mostly concerning an enhancement of the bodily processes and functions.

  • Increase in bone density as calcium is absorbed better and bone mineralization is performed more effectively.
  • Increase in muscle mass, strength and capacity which are associated with efficient protein synthesis and metabolism.
  • Decrease body fat is secondary to the ability of HGH to hasten lipolysis or fat breakdown as well as increase carbohydrate metabolism which, in turn, decreases the tendencies of carbohydrates to be stored as future fats.
  • Increase in mental capability as HGH is strongly associated to improvement of brain functioning.
  • Increase in energy is associated with efficient usage of metabolism to produce adequate energy which the body needs to perform its functions.

The Cons

Most of the common side effects of HGH injections can include swelling of the arms and legs (excess water retention), joint pain, muscle pain, increased tissue growth, heart disorders and risk to develop diabetes and Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (a specific type of cancer associated with immaturity in white blood cells).

The Misconception

HGH is not related to anti-aging. It is not the ‘fountain of youth’ and it does not restore vitality or slow the aging process. Aging is human nature and the pituitary gland loses its former ability to produce large amounts of HGH, thus, even with stimulation it might not be as effective as before.

No conclusive evidence has been found to support the anti-aging claims of HGH. Until then, it is wise to be careful of your choices. There are many HGH-related articles and topics online. Anti-Aging Foods for Women of All Ages

Posted on May 17, 2009 under Anti Aging | Be the First to Comment

Premature aging is a serious problem that plagues women of all ages. That is why the beauty and health industry is so successful in marketing and selling anti-aging creams to women. But before you start spending hundreds of dollars on a bottle of cream, first you should consider other, more affordable options.

One way to fight skin aging the natural way is by eating food that provides youthful benefits. Although generally fish, fruits, and vegetables give the skin all the essential nutrients, there are specific fruits and vegetables that contain high levels of antioxidants and other anti-aging properties.

Salmon

Salmon is a favorite of health experts because it is a primary source of Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is known to help prevent heart diseases and promote proper blood circulation. But what most people do not know about salmon is that it is also very good for the skin. The essential fatty acids found in salmon keeps the skin moisturized and supple.

It contains other important vitamins as well, such as vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

Nuts and Legumes

When eaten raw and fresh, nuts can do a lot of wonders to the skin. Nuts and legumes are also a good source of protein and vitamins B and E, which are all good for the skin. On top of that, nuts and legumes also help fight off heart diseases and certain types of cancers.

Broccoli and Cabbage

Considered as a staple in salads and meat dishes, broccoli is also loved for the many health benefits it offers. It is rich in antioxidants, carotene, and essential vitamins like vitamin C. And aside from being known as a good cancer-fighting vegetable, broccoli also keeps the skin healthy by fighting off free radicals that cause cell degeneration.

Cabbage is also a good source of fiber and vitamin C. Aside from helping in the delay of the skin aging process, the nutrients found in cabbage also provide a number of health benefits like gastrointestinal motility, keeping the digestive system healthy, and system detoxification.

Whole Grains

Whole grains are one of the holy grails when it comes to health benefits. They contain high levels of natural fiber, vitamin B6, zinc, magnesium, and a whole other set of essential nutrients and minerals.

Whole grains are also popular anti-aging weapons because they have high concentrations of vitamin E that nourishes the skin, giving it a youthful glow.

Leafy Greens

Eating dark leafy greens is a primary commandment in eating healthy. Most, if not all, dark leafy greens contain a wide mix of nutrients that the body can make good use of. Spinach and romaine lettuce for example are great sources of fiber, vitamin C and K, as well as folic acid. Most importantly, leafy green vegetables are high in vitamin A, which aids skin-cell replacement leaving the skin soft and supple.

The list of anti-aging fruits and vegetables goes on, but you do not need to eat every single one of them everyday. As long as you include most of these anti-aging food in your daily meals, delaying the body’s aging process will not be difficult regardless of your age.
